The Era 300 from Sonos is the company’s first music speaker focused on playing tracks in spatial audio, a format that promises to envelop the listener from all directions. At $450, it’s an expensive but impressive speaker. But Sonos has another new speaker out, the $250 Era 100. That speaker doesn’t play back spatial audio, but that might not matter when you can get two Era 100s for just a little more cash than the Era 300.
